A TI-Nspire document, divided into four problems, provides students with the opportunity to create and use sequences in various ways.

Problem 1 introduces term-to-term rules such as: form a sequence by starting with 6 and repeatedly adding 4.

In Problem 2  the focus changes to position-to-term rules such as: position=n, term=4n+2.  Students are asked to create sequences using the two rules, first on a Calculator page and then using a spreadsheet. They also see how to use TI-Nspire's built-in Generate Sequence tool.

In Problem 3 dot-plots are used to represent sequences that have been created in spreadsheets. This leads to a series of ten puzzles in Problem 4 where students are required to identify sequences and then fill in the missing terms.
